 The Henchy kitchen designed by lead designer Lynn Bowman CKD?CBD as featured inside Design Home and Gardens magazine July/August 2005 edition. Trish and Joe Henche had a large addtion put on their 17-year-old home five years ago. Afterward, their kithen just didn't look the same. "All of the faults of the kitchen became more apparent, and it just didn't work with the addition," says Trish. "There were too many blind corners and traffic didn't flow well." "Lynn came out to the house to give me her thoughts, and she got it right in one try." Trish adds. Trish wanted the kitchen to tie in with the traditional style of the home. and says all that and more was accomplished. "I'm pretty good with envisioning things," says Trish, "but it exceeded my expectations. It truly did." Golden Oak granite countertops tie in beautifully to the old wold theme. The 4 by 4-inch gold and cream tiles for the countertop backsplash were imported from Italy.So were the 18 by 18-inch beige floor tiles that Bowman had set at an angle to help create more visual space. Heat installed under the titles was a welcomed touch. |
